Hoover Tempo WidePath attachments, reviews and cost

If you are in the market for a new vacuum cleaner for your home then you have properly already realized that you will be bombarded with different options and manufacturers that will promise you things left and right. Is more expensive always better though? In today’s article we will be reviewing the Hoover Tempo WidePath (which only cost $80) and compare it against the "market" leading brand called the Dyson that is listed at a starting price of $550. Lets start with a quick item description for both:

The Hoover Tempo WidePath upright bagged vacuum cleaner is one of the oldest and most affordable models thatHoovercarries. The Hoover Tempo Widepath covers a 15" area while providing maximum suction by using the 12 amp engine that it comes equipped with. Attachments are not a worry if you purchase this model since it comes with onboard crevice tools, wand extensions and even hose extensions for those hard to reach corners. Even though its a great buy, you will notice that the Hoover Tempo WidePath is a model that has some noise to it while you are vacuuming. Maintenance is not a issue since most parts are replaceable even down to the belt. Allergy concerned buyers may want to steer away from the Hoover Tempo WidePath since it doesn’t come with a build in HEPA filter. If you are only experiencing mild allergies though then a cloth HEPA bag can be used with this model.

Dysons DC07 model was the first one available to American consumers so it will also be the one that we are going to use for this consumer review. The Dyson vacuum is impressive however most buyers find it to be one of the bulkiest out on the market. Its "cyclone technology" does an impressive job and you can't argue the cleaning that it provides. Depending on which model you decide on, it may or may not come with onboard attachments, but anything that you need and is not included can be purchased for a separate price (ranges from $50 - $80). The Dyson vacuum is actually bagless and does not require you to buy new filters or belts. The filter is washable and the Dyson comes with a 5 year warranty that ensures you that all parts will be working right.

 Comparing the two products:

Both the Hoover Tempo WidePath and the Dyson both come with a 12 amp motor so the suction will be exactly the same. Even though the power is the same, the Dysons design still does a better in-depth cleaning however that should really only be a concern if you have severe allergies. If you are budget oriented like most people then you have most likely already realized that the Dyson does not only have a high initial price but it also does not come with any of the attachments that come along with the Hoover Tempo WidePath. The high price of $500 already sounds high but once you add all the cost together it really goes through the roof.

Price to the side, product maintenance would be the next big factor. The Hoover Tempo WidePath offers a limited one year warranty which sounds very limited when looking at the Dysons five year guarantee. The longer warranty may seem appealing until you realize that you will not be able to vacuum for at least 3-6 weeks while your Dyson is in the shop. Most Hoover Tempo WidePath repairs will be as simple as replacing a belt and only cost you about $10.

All together the dyson is a great product, however for those who are on a budget the Hoover Tempo WidePath is a great choice. No matter if you are a experienced house cleaner, a young adult leaving for college or anybody else; the Hoover Tempo WidePath is a great option for everybody.
